Guilford County Government Issues Executive Proclamation Under Standing State of Emergency and Reinstates COVID-19 Indoor Mask Mandate

Mandatory Mask Policy Re-Instated Effective January 5, 2022 at 12:01AM

Post Date:01/04/2022 6:28 PM: During today’s 3:00PM Press Conference, Guilford County Board of Commissioners’ Chairman, Melvin ‘Skip’ Alston announced that he was issuing an Executive Proclamation under the Standing State of Emergency and reinstituting the COVID-19 Indoor Masking Mandate effective 12:01 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2022 for Guilford County residents and businesses due to the severity of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Omicron Variant currently affecting North Carolina and the sharp increase in the positivity rate in Guilford County.
