As the owner of Swivel Barbershop, Chase Lewis is no stranger to the local community. As a Greensboro native, he knows how important it is to keep staff and customers safe from COVID-19.
“To promote a positive message and to ensure the safety, of not just my customers but my staff too, is major part in why I am pledging my support to be a Healthy Guilford Business.”
Lewis, who launched Swivel in the fall of 2017, opened his second location in the Wendover Village Shopping Center in the middle part of 2020 after restrictions were lifted for salons and barbershops.
“Opening my second location in the middle of a pandemic was not easy. However, with the help from my staff and their dedicated efforts to stay masked up and sanitize before and after each customer, we did it. I understand being safe is key.”
Between the two locations, Lewis has 12 barbers on staff at Swivel.
Christopher Bray, also known as “Bray the Barber,” says, “I stay safe by continuously washing my hands, sanitizing my station, and wearing gloves. This not only keeps me safe but also ensures the safety and health of my customers and the families they go home to.”
If there is one thing that 2020 has taught us, it is that life is unpredictable, and things can change at any time.
“Through the pandemic, I’m learning to never take things for granted,” adds Lewis. “I just want my community to know that I am doing my part in enforcing and following the policies and guidelines set by the County.”
